Got a wierd one. I have 93 Civic DX 1.5. My 4 way flasher switch is sending power to my ignition. Once the car is started it won’t shut off without pushing button for 4 way flashers or disconnecting. When plugged back in it’s just like turning the key to the on position. Ironically flashers are not working, no turn signals lights ethier on dash or outside. Flasher button also is turning on and off marker lights. Can a bad flasher relay cause this?

Not the relay but maybe the hazard switch.
If you want to check the switch:
Terminals from back of the switch:
        AB–CD
        -FHIJ
OFF position: F and H connected I and J bulb between them. No other connections.
I think that it has G-F connection this would make this kind of problem.

If switch seems to be the problem (also this is other way to check the switch) you can check to see if the is other problems just by leaving switch unconnected and bridging F and H.
        Terminals from front of connector:
        DC–BA
        JIHF-
Now everything else but hazards should work.

A wiring diagram will be needed here to see if the hazards
are tied into the ignition switch.

I do have wiring diagram that’s how I did come to that conclusion. I’m just not sure can I post it here. Hazard switch has contact in it that changes were blinker relay gets its power. Normally power comes from behind ignition switch, but when hazards are turned on power comes directly from battery, so if this switch is faulty and power can get from battery to ignition then it will generate this short of problem.

post the wiring diagram and lets take a look.

No I do have original Honda manual on page 23-235 there is circuit diagram of turn signal/hazard flasher system. Read my post there is info on how to check hazard switch. It even has too ways to check that switch.

Problem solved. Alarm shorted out and was sending power through the ignition circuit through the ignition cut off wire. I disconnected the Alarm and re-spliced ignition wire in column. Everything back to normal. Thanks for your help guys.
