This is the d16z6 engine.
Asked to look at the crank, no start car.
Get there, battery is dead. This limits my testing.
I was suspecting the coil, so brought one with me.
Could not turn the engine over, so I pulled the distributor, so I could get the rotor off, and get to the coil. The coil had some corrosion and “looked” bad. So I put the new coil in and put the distributor back on. I reseated the spark plug wires. Some felt loose. Wanted to know if my guess work, well, worked. Tried to jump start with my car, but the other car would not turn over. So I pulled my batter, and put it in the 93 Civic. Fired right up. Took the 93 batter to town, and had it tested. Tested good. With the battery charged up, I took it back out to the car and put it back in. Had them test drive the car. All was good.Get another call a few days later. Back to crank no start. I tested the coil I pulled, and it was out of spec. Did notice they had to much oil, and suspect the wrong weight. They have not been changing the oil, just adding to it, because it was burning oil.
Was wondering, if they had to much oil, think it is messing up the spark plugs?
Your thoughts? Thanks
