Hey guys I’m new to the forum and was wondering if you guys could help me with something. I have a 93 S10 Blazer that’s in need of some love, she sat for a while and has been a bit neglected by a previous owner. My question is what is the best cost to reliability ratio repair that I could do. I think it’s safe to assume she has seen better days and that if you can think of it, it probably needs work. Currently I’m thinking, in no particular order, engine mounts, a/c (Chicago winters) shocks, brakes, wheel bearings and that’s all I can think of. If you know of anything that I’ve missed out I’m grateful for suggestions.

I would start by getting it running good.

Theirs no seance in putting money in anywhere else if the engine wont perform properly.

Hey guys, sorry for the radio silence but I started a new job on Monday and to say I’ve been run off my feet would be an understatement.

Anyway, back to the Blazer. She currently is running and has covered approx. 8000 miles in the last year, the reason I say approx is because the odometer stopped many years ago so it still has 99,990 miles on the clock. So she runs fine, I just worry about something going wrong. I have changed the oil and filter, the air filter and the blower motor. But I recently looked and discovered that there is no fluid in the coolant reservoir and when I took the cap off the radiator there was a slight build up of a rust colored gunk. Which I’m hoping doesn’t go south before I can afford to do something about it. What does that usually mean?
            Thanks again for the help

I would change the coolant and all the other fluids ( brake , power steering , tranny & diff ) .

Look for any / all hoses & belts that look questionable . Tires , brakes & brake hoses .

              Look for exhaust leaks .

              God bless
