October 28, 2012 at 1:00 am #472462well it acted up again today we did a fuel pressure check today and found that the fuel pump check valve isn’t holding the fuel pressure now so it looks like I may have to change the pump for the third time in 3 months. butat least we finally found the problem thats going on now because it was an electrical problem in the beginning. thanks again for all the help.
October 30, 2012 at 1:16 am #472848You might want to verify that electrical problem when you change the pump, see if you’re getting the power and ground that you need there just to be on the safe side. Also keep a close eye on the harness to make sure that nothing is pinched between the tank and the body. Good luck and keep us posted.
October 31, 2012 at 4:56 am #473245put in the new pump last night starts up first try everytime I used a bosch pump this time. the carter I had put in it in august I had bought online itis still under warranty but I have to send it back and then they will send me another but I fig that will just give me a spare then which is fine with me. when i changed the relays it fixed the electrical problem I had already checked all the wiring with a multi meter and they are all fine nothing is pinched or broken. all wires look good and everything is working great finally. today me and my son n law put in replacement floor pans they were pretty rusted out but there like new now also I put new quarter panels on it new rocker panels and fenders and did all body repairs and gave it a two tone red and dark grey paint job I gave 400. bucks for this thing and got about 2 grand in it now but it looks and runs good now finally only one more thing I needto fix is the cruise control it doesn’t work It says theres a 15 amp fuse and i’veyet to find that but thevacuum side is fine all good and no leaks its not working on the electrical side of it but I havent done awhole lot of checking on that yet withthe other problems I been having with it
