      I have a 92 Honda Prelude having a code 23.which is the knock sensor. And the last 2 weeks came on twice. the check engine light that is. And of course it’s a soft code.so when you restart the car the COD goes away. What does this mean that I need to replace my knock sensor. Or what’s the chance of it being something else. Thank you for the help in advance

        Check the sensor for continuity. You may want to ohm the wiring
        back to the ecu.

          They don’t often go bad but they can sometimes get damaged when someone does an oil change or work on the back of the engine. You might do a visual inspection first to see if the connector is connected and not damaged.
