I just purchased my Vigor and pulled one of the spark plug wires and its soaked in oil. So i continued checking the others and there is a total of 3 wells filled about 1 1/2 inches with oil. I’ve researched and people claim that the service is fairly basic. I guess my question is while I’m in there is there anything else i should look at. The chassis has 281k and the engine has about 80k. I already posted about rack and pinion replacement. That is the only other obvious problem i can see. What should i watch out for with this car. It has been maintained very well but she’s gettin up there on mileage. Like I’ve said i absolutely love this car and want it to last awhile. Thanks for your input and advise.

what did they say to fix it????
alot of time it turns out to be the valve cover gasket leaking in to the spark plugs…
now is that on top of the spark plugs or in the inside or bottem of the plug ???

It’s on top of the plugs. I was told there are spark plug well gaskets that come as a kit with the valve cover gasket. With all that oil i didn’t want to pull the plugs out.

Those gasket do cone in the kit with the valve cover gasket.

While you’re in there you could check your valves with a lash gauge.

Here’s a great write up on that:

You can also check your timing chain for wear or slack.
