Where is the best place to get a replacement tensioner bolt for the timing belt. Online places I have found so far want around $2.50 for bolt but $15 in shipping. It is the outside 14mm one that is used to set the tension on timing belt. I cannot say that I am not the guilty party here but as I was using the correct 14mm wrench and cannot get a grip on the stupid thing. I think it was already mostly stripped after my one unsuccessful try, I cleaned it and it is marred all the way around.
Any tips or tricks to get this thing off? Going to have to take a think on this before I screw anything else up, IF it was me that is.
Any information would be helpful and thanks for taking the time to read.

most parts stores (depending on your vehicle’s year) should be able to get you a replacement bolt. To get the old one off you can try vise grips, but your best bet is to get a socket that is specially made for this. Most parts stores carry a version (Grip Tite, Easy Out,etc)

I was assuming since it was a 92 that my chances were about nill at the auto parts stores considering it was a specific bolt.
A socket does not fit onto the bolt because of the fender. A breaker bar and short socket may, but I do not have any short sockets. May have to look into that.

DanoYeah that bolt shouldn’t be too hard to find. If you are willing to sacrifice a wrench,you could put a wrench on the bolt and either spot weld it or drill a couple machine screws between the wrench and bolt.
Thanks again all, I was able to order the bolt / nut locally at dealership. I got the stripped bolt/nut off using a “bolt-out” from Sears without to much problem. Should have thought a little more before posting but was in a panic a little.
