        maybe i should clear it up a bit more. you say it bogs down but your not gaining foward motion with the engine being pulled down so hard indacates to me it is tring to be in 2 different gears at once. i have run into this more then a few times with tranny

          Thanks mopar, I had already decided to change the filter and fluid next week, so I will start there.

                It does sound transmission related and I think starting with changing the fluid is a good start to help nail down the problem.
