Anything is possible if you have arched the vehicles battery.

See if a good auto parts store can test the ICM.

Does the vehicle even crank? If it does, are you missing fuel or spark?

        Start with the basics….

all it does is crank but will not turn over and it does have spark and fuel

How are you checking for fuel and spark?

Did you check for cranking fuel pressure? Did you do a compression test?

If you had a ‘power surge’ try checking ALL of the fuses both under the hood and under the dash one of them could be blown causing the problem. Other than that as suggested you need to find out what is missing during the no start, spark, fuel, or engine mechanical. Here is a video I did on the subject

we checked the spark with a screwdriver and we did not do a compression test on it i do have a video up on my YouTube page http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VLamYdUo … HGFL4ZxksC tack a look and let me know what you think ok

Just a tip, if you decide to replace the cap, rotors, and wires, do the wires one at a time. Don’t yank ’em all off and spend the next hour trying to figure out which one went where.

Your post is a little confusing. You say the car wont run, but according do your video it does run. However, it starts and stalls. Do this simple test and let us know what happens. Hold the throttle 1/2-3/4 of the way down and tell us if you can keep it running that way. You are obviously getting spark and fuel at initial startup because it does start.

Is that your battery gauge at the upper left? It seems real low while it is trying to start. have you looked at that yet?

Thanks for the video it really helps us understand the problem better. When it does run it sounds like it has a pretty bad miss and I suspect 1 or more cylinders might be a problem. Since I didn’t see the check engine light on I would focus on the basics and the easiest thing is to check the cap, rotor, plugs and wires if these aren’t looking good or it’s been a while since they were replaced I would recommend replacing them and rechecking for the condition. If you don’t find anything with the ignition system the next step would be to check fuel pressure and check the engine’s mechanical timing but I would start with the ignition stuff first. Be sure to use quality parts the extra money you spend will be worth the cost in the end.

! have a 93 Explorer and something similar happened to mine mine. Turned out it was the MAF. You might want to check that with scantool.

ok now i had some one i know look at my explorer and they think could be the ICM they tested but what do u all say ??

Most ICM’s can be taken off and tested at an auto parts store for free.

You can also lookup ignition wiring diagrams also.

If it was an ICM problem I would think you wouldn’t have spark.
