I have a 91′ chevy truck with a 5.7L engine that runs great but after I have driven somewhere and shut the truck off and then try to restart it, it will start and then immediately die. I have to hold the peddle down to start it and even then, that doesn’t always work. I have replaced the distributor, rebuilt the throttle body, replaced the coolant temp. sensor, IAC valve replaced…. don’t know what to do next. Any suggestions?

sounds like its too much fuel or leaking injectors.I
take it this is TBI.Check your fuel pressure and the
fuel pressure regulator. fuel pressure should be between
      12-15 psi.

You will need to check for a good spark while cranking the engine during a hot start. If OK check the fuel pressure. college man supplied the correct pressure for your truck.

Remember to check for the good old fashioned vacuum leak somewhere….
