Ok so I’ve tried about everything. It is a 5-speed so its in gear and won’t turn freely. I have tried a impact with 600 ft/lb of of reverse torque and nothing. are there any ideas on how to do this.

Buy a special tool. 600 ft/lb isn’t enough for this bolt. I have seen this bolt came out with impact wrench only once and the mechanic was using 1″ impact wrench. So unless you have access to something stronger, you can forget about trying to get this off using a impact wrench. If you have access to acetylene torch you can try heating the mounting surface to red hot then hit it with impact. Otherwise only way to pull this out is using a special tool + 18 – 25 inch breaker bar.

Strange. I used a 240 ft lb electric impact gun and it did the job well. But I think you need to use the special tool.

They do get on there pretty good sometimes, the special tool and a breaker bar with a pipe is the way to go in my opinion. I haven’t had one beat me yet with that method.
