So today i’m driving my ’90 Olds and all of a sudden my a/c fan starts blowing harder than normal (it has had an issue with not blowing that hard even on high for the past year or so) and I don’t think much of it, but when i go to turn the vehicle off, the fan continues to blow. I mess with the ignition switch thinking that might be the issue, but to no avail. The next item I check are the fuses, I locate the blower fan fuse, remove and inspect it (the fuse was NOT blown), and the fan STILL continues to blow. I then turn to the internet, and come to the conclusion that it must be the fan relay, so I replace the relay with a new one and the fan -STILL- continues to blow. After this 3 hour debacle I decided to call it a day and come to you guys. Do you guys have any idea what it could be? I’m at a loss. If anything comes to mind PLEASE feel free to let me know.

I’d need the wiring schematic to know for sure but perhaps the resistor block? It’s what controls the different fan speeds. Also, it could have something to do with the HVAC head assembly. If it’s commanding the fan to come on then it may stay on. As stated, the first step would be a schematic to see what can run the fan all the time even with the key off. Thanks Eric! After reading your reply I followed your advice and replaced the blower control module, she blows air like a dream now! After all this time of dealing with a fan constantly on low now she blows however much air you want her to. Thanks for the quick reply and the solid advice guys, it means a lot.
