Ok, so the integra with the idle problems…this is an update, i was pulling plug wires to see if the motor would die down a bit like shown in your vids, and #1 acted like it should, same with #2, and #1 but once i got to #3 it barely changed anything!…so i changed the plug wires, and same deal…checked the spark plug, and contenues to to the same thing…also checked the injector by running the car, and un pluging the injector, and it did change the idle a little just as the plug did…could this mean the cylender its itself is bad, as in the piston, or ring…>>>I HAVE NO WAY TO CHECK COMPRESSION<<<

By your description I would say it’s possible to have a cylinder low on compression. The only way to test it is with a compression gauge or leak down tester. Perhaps you could rent or borrow one.

Most big auto parts chains have a loaner tool program. Basically, you go get a compression tester, give them the money or a credit card for it, then they refund you when you return it. Great way to get tools you need once in a while, but don’t have the money to buy.
I would start by running a compression test on the engine and then go from there.
The ‘I have no way of checking compression’ is a problem. Honda’s rarely have issues with fuel delivery, and you’ve ruled out spark. That leaves mechanical and for that, a good start would be a compression test, better yet, a leak down test. Compression testers cost about $30, perhaps Santa can bring you one for Christmas, or you can check to see if you can borrow one as suggested. Seriously, it does sound like it’s time to check the mechanical condition of that cylinder. I suspect a bad exhaust valve, but I’m just guessing.

Thanks eric, im getting a compleete rebuild kit “from santa” pistons, rings, all gskets and a water pump…may go ahead and do a vtec swap while its apart, but dont know which head will be the best idea…i have the b18a1 block…and as u stated in a post before…someone really hacked up my wiring harnes!
Well done the colpression test..cyl 1 has 90 psi when cold, and cyl 3 had 0 cold, and 10 hot…thats psi…and im broke…what to do!!
Maybe it’s just me, and everybody I know, but I’ve had very, very few problems with Hondas and Acuras. Over 25 yrs of owning them and just an occasional ignition switch going bad, and the expected wear items.
But before that I had all VW’s, and there was something going wrong every 3 months. Ignition points burning up, brake calipers seizing up. Struts seizing up. Brake lines rusting out after 3 years. Major fuel problems. Heat shields rusting out. Every vacuum hose breaking open. Wheels going out of alignment. Brake pads wearing out every 9 months. Gas tank leaking. Floor mats wearing through. Seat slides breaking. Head gasket leaking. Heater core leaking. Bumpers rusting. Trim strips falling off. CV boots shredding, often. Tie rod ends wearing out. Ignition wires going bad. Springs sagging. Springs breaking. Strut splash fields falling off. Exhaust hangers falling off. Very fun cars to drive, while they’re working. But a big and expensive PITA, even if you can do most of the repairs yourself.
There is obviously an issue there. Two options at this point, one is to tear it down and find the problem once you get into it. Option number two is to do a leakdown test, or have someone do it for you, which can help to determine where the leak is.
You could try putting just a bit of engine oil in each of the cylinders and retesting. If you suddenly see a bump in compression from your bad cylinders, that could be an indication of bad rings.
I read an article (only one article so only one person’s opinion) that owners in Europe are mostly in the DIY camp and are often expert mechanics (the writer was contrasting this with owners in the US). So maybe that is why the makers are able to get away with selling high maintenance vehicles.
