8th Gen Civic LX dome light failure

Hi all, the dome light in my 2010 Civic LX failed today. I checked the bulb and fuse and both are still good. I replaced the bulb just to make sure it wasn’t the bulb and still no light. Any ideas on what the problem could be please let me know! I suspect the switch or maybe a bad connection somewhere. Thanks!

can you turn the dome on manually? if not I would suspect the dome itself.
If it does turn on door switches.

Yea, have you checked the operation of the switch yet? If you have, the next thing I would be doing is pulling the light out to see if I had power and ground there. More info on electrical issues here.

Do the map lights work ?

I checked the schematics and it shows that they share the same power feed from the fuse box that also passes through the under dash fuse/relay box, so if the map lights work you know the power feed is good up to the under dash box.

sorry for the very late response. The light started working again not long after I posted this. I’m not sure what happened but it hasn’t failed since!
