You know, its interesting. I ran one of these cars out of a gas one time, and there was a guy with me than knew more about imported cars than anybody on the planet, and we had no tools, out on the roadway, so he got under the back wheel, I think it was the drivers side, and if I remember there were two lines, and he felt no pressure in the fuel line (one of these two lines), and knew it had no fuel. You might want to try this as a quickie

          1. remove rear seat cushion. Pump is right there. You should hear it run when you turn the key to the 2nd click.
Relay click. Main relay should give you 3 distinct clicks, 2nd one being pump run. No humm – no petrol to the engine.
          2. So your starter does not crank? My bet is on bad ignition switch.

You turn the key to START, and all you hear from under the hood is a “click” or “click-click-click…”, or dead silence

Cheers I’m on my way to give it a try (car has been neglected for 9months 🙁 befor my purchase)
Where can I find the faulty earth for the rear brake lights?
Would I be safer buying a new starter? parts are cheap online
Fuses are all good checked all wiring and fuses when I replaced the main relay (any other thoughts please)
            Thank you for you help
