      ok first off buy 2 new matched batterys and install them at the same time. odd size and age batteries will kill batteries and alternators. henc why you needed a alternator lol_x000D_

        Ok Im just still learning my DVOM and Im not sure what setting to put it on when testing the alternator

          Just out of curiosity does anyone know what the tubs below the oil cooler on the drivers side of the engine does? it runs parallel to it but not sure what its job is

                hard for me to get a pic but its a tube just as thick as the oil cooler running parrallel

                    im trying to figure that out to be honest. Im having a hard time probing the regulator itself. If I rev the engine the batteries go all the way up to 17V! At idle they are about 13.4 the frusterating thing is I really think the regulator quit but its bran

                      I tried testing the positive and negative terminals but I may have been on the wrong setting or probing it wrong because it was hovering around .18

                          get AC-delco 60g they are what you need for a manual setup like i explained. you will have to look them up as a glow plug for (get this) a chevy 6.2 haha yes they will go right in there and work the best.
