I’m replacing the passenger side idler bar on my 86 dodge van b250.
And i already removed the castle nut, and removed the bolt from the frame of the car where it mounts. And now i cant get the Idler bar to detach from the rest of the steering. I’ve hit, tried prying it off but i just wont budge. HELP?!!!?!

you need a puller like a pitman arm puller. some autoparts stores will lend them out for a small fee.
I loaned a Pickle fork from Auto Zone that will be here in a few. That should work right? Similar to a ball joint remover.
What I do is use a pry bar to apply pressure (separating the two parts) with one hand, and hit the outer piece with a hammer with the other. You are striking the part without the castle nut near were the parts are pressed together. They pop right apart with no damage to the grease boot.
If it’s wedged up in there you might need to drop the other side of the steering linkage. In the picture it looks loose so I don’t think a pickle fork or pry bar will help. If you drop the other side of the steering linkage it should drop down far enough for you to remove the old part. Keep us posted.
