      Hi all.
I have a 1982 Firebird TA with the GM CC quadrajet. It seems to start fine cold. But starting it up again when hot, it struggles a little like the engine is flooded.
After the initial struggling if I then switch it off and restart it fires first time again.
Its not the starter, as I replaced that with a mini hi torque one.
Would anyone have any input as to what might be causing it?
The carb is a reman from rockauto, which was set up by an american specialist here in the uk.

      Thanks

      Dan

seeing when you turn it off and back on it comes back to life. Check that the choke
is not stoke or staying closed.

I would laso check the fuel pressure and flow rate… might be off causing you some problems
if you want to out rule that starter you can take it to advance auto and have them check it on the car… or most other auto part stores… probly not that but you can have it check for free

Agreed with college. Make sure the choke is opening all the way up
