Hey all
2002 Chevy Silverado with the floor shift for 4 low and high, putting into 4 wheel drive the indicator lite showing its in 4 wheel drive does not come on and 4 wheel drive does not work…
I have key on power at axle actuator, but no other power with shifter put in place and i believe im supposed to??
What ya think, If it was the actuator the light would still come on correct??
Is there a switch or sensor at transfer case with the floor shifter?Thanks

If the light does not come on then you’re likely not in 4WD. There may be an issue with the front axle servo or something inside the transfer case. To be honest I don’t have specific information on this problem for you. There may be a code stored or something that might help. Your best bet is to get your hands on a service manual that can tell you where to look in a situation like this.
