Eric the car guy has a review on battery powered ones you can get at harbor freight tools for cheap. I used them myself. For the money they are worth it. You can find coupons to get them down to about 80 or 70. It is mobile and will help with basic applications. Don’t try to use it for things with high torque or rusted in but for making things faster, its great!
I’d like to get a Corded one so I don’t have worry about charging batteries. I used to have a Corded half inch drive. It was a quarter of the cost and not too heavy.
Milwaukee has a 3/8 cordless ratchet that’s available through the Home Depot website. It’s on their 12 volt platform, so the batteries will run any of their other tools that take the same battery. They have a 3/8 impact on the same platform that they say is good for 100 ftlbs of torque.
Lithium batteries are WAY better than the old NiCad batteries. They don’t really fade, they just fall off and die. Then they only take an hour to charge.
I highly doubt a corded ratchet exists, regardless you would be doing yourself a disservice to get one with a cord. You want it to be easy to move around and cords and air hoses are annoying to work around / with.
