I am not a fan of fram filters at all. Though many tests have shown they filter great now days compared to years back. Personally I will not run them. I have had too many fall apart in my hands from customer vehicles.
I’m partial to purolator pure one, and mobile one filters. Here recently I have been using the Mobil one filters mostly in my vehicles. They always score high on filter tests.
The best synthetic currently out is pennzoil platinum based on many tests I have read followed by mobile one. I run castrol in all my stuff except the diesel. Just personal preference. You can’t go wrong with castrol or mobile one either. But now days conventional oil is light years ahead of synthetic from back in the day.
If you are interested, bobistheoilguy .com has tons of information about oil and filters. Everyone has their opinions, and everyone has their favorite products. Just sharing some of mine. In all reality, just pick a good synthetic oil, good filter and stick with them.
I have yet to see an oil related failure from our ac delco filters used in all the cars that come through our shop. Usually it’s customer negligence of intervals. Lol
