This year we’ve made a separate sign up page for the ‘Meet Up’. It contains all the pertinent information, including the location, as well as a sign up. If you plan to attend this years meet up on July 19, 2014, please sign up on this page.

This year promises to be even better that the previous 2. For one, I have the Fairmont. I’m also working on bringing in a special guest or 2 if I can swing that. Nothing definite on that yet, but I’ll keep you posted. Here in fact.
In the mean time, post any suggestions or requests for the ‘Meet Up’ here. I know it will be a good time no matter what but if you have an idea that might make it even better, please post it here.

Something near and dear to my heart,knuckles and whits end,(and have not tackled it yet), replacing spark plugs on the Ford 5.4 3 valve…you know the ones notorious for breaking off. Watched a few videos of dudes using…umm…IMPACT WRENCH!!!

This will be my first ETCG Meet Up event so I don’t know what to expect(except from watching the clip from last years event)but when I read that you had demos planned, I thought it would be awesome to be able to see/do a valve adjustment before I actually try one on my project car (1997 Saturn SC2 DOHC 1.9 L MPFI, 5 speed manual). Not sure if hands-on demos are within your scope but just thought I would mention it. (Yes, I have watched the Honda Valve Adjustment video…like 10 times! 🙂 I also recently bought a 2000 Honda Civic. Great car, btw!)

I made it to the very first meet-up, had to skip out on the last one, HOWEVER, I have full intentions on making the trip to the 3rd meet-up!! I am excited about this!
I don’t know if this is yet a suggestion, but maybe we can have small projects for the invitees to work on. Maybe like a friendly competition on which team can complete a certain job faster? Like, I know back in the 2012 meet-up, Eric was working on his Honda Odyssey, and I know I wanted to help out, but didn’t know how Eric would feel about that, plus I wasn’t in the appropriate clothing lol.

I thought of another idea for the Meet-Up…
How about having a portion of time for a casual (daily driver) car show which would include everyone who drives (and their car) down for your Meet-Up event. We could all spend a minute or two sharing a story about the car we drove to the Meet-up, you (or a designee) could judge the most interesting story, and the best story (and a runner up, if there are several attendees) would receive a small prize…I’ll even supply the small prize(s)! (I was thinking like an ETCG coffee mug and/or T-shirt).

Great suggestion. I hope you can make it. We missed you last year.
Planned on making it last year, but things didn’t go as planned…Definitely going to make it this year.
700 miles for us, my wife and I are talking about going as I type. I sure would like to make it and meet ETCG in person. We shall see. Keep on keepin on Eric!
