Hey Eric and Forum readers this is my first post. I need to replace the alternator on my faters 2013 Dodge Journey 3.5 liter. I was wonder if anyone had done one of these or has any advise. I cannot find much on the web and I want to see if I need to take alot apart. I can reach the 2 top bolts and the bottom rod from the side or bottom but it still looks a bit tight.

Any help would be great Thanks,

Thanks!!!! I watched a Minivan video I think I have to drop the ac compressor or take the fan and upper radiator hose out.

You know pretty much these Alternators are the same.
Think of it as adventure just do it.
Have you heard saying the only way to learn is to do it.
If only everyone made a video on how to fix every model.
I think Haynes will be out of business

Shouldn’t this still be under warranty? There’s something wrong if a factory alternator barely lasts 3 years.

My dad is a sales rep so he drive 20k a year. If this is considered powertrain it might be covered. I will have him call. Thanks!

Thanks guys for the help but I think I am going to look in a different area. I looked at the charging volts while driving and it was at about 14.5 (Was a week ago dont remember exact number.) I think there might be a draw somewhere.
