So I am posting this for a buddy as his clutch went out of his 2012 kia. We are looking for a how to (step by step) on how to replace this clutch. Automotive shops want 1800 to do the work plus the parts. I have searched for a Haines manual with no luck.

What I am asking for is I need some info on how to replace the clutch, pressure plate and the slave cylinder as we would like to do it ourselves as with the Alberta economy I can not afford to pay a mechanic.

Thanks in advance for all the comments.

The clutch failed on a four year-old car? Wow.

There just isn’t any meat on the bones anymore.

That’s not covered under the 10/100 only the 3/36?

Good luck getting a clutch warrantied unless it grenades itself. It’s a wearable item that shouldn’t realistically reach the end of it’s life for at least 100,000 miles. Under ideal circumstances.

Being that it’s a manual trans, you should be able to apply the same general operation as it would be on any FWD car. You could also look for a anything about the Hyundai Tucson. They’re the same thing.
