Hello everyone in December I bought a 2012 Buick Verano with 35k miles on it. Now I know that with dex cool its 5 years or 150k miles. When I bought the car the sales guy told me that they had changed all fluids that needed to be changed including the coolant during their 114 point inspection for all used cars. Granted this is a very reputable dealer where I live. Since I’m not very trusting I was wondering if there is any way I can check the life of the coolant? Or should I just bite the bullet and have it changed so I know for sure. Thank you!

You can test the coolant capabilities with a anti freeze tester.
If you are that concerned a flush and refill is fairly inexpensive to do.I have tested the coolant with a freeze and boil protection tester. That test shows thr right numbers but what I’m worried about is the corrosion inhibitors.
