I am going to take a shot in the dark and see if anyone else has had this issues. I own a 2011 Nissan Altima 2.5 SL that has an intermittent cold idle surge. My car has about 49,500 miles on it. It seams to happen more when it’s above 40-45 degrees on a cold start during the initial high idle period. It normally does it once where it feels like a quick surge/misfire; a fast drop in RPM. It normally does it once but today it did it 3 times about 5 seconds apart and felt like it was going to stall. It cleared up and ran fine after that. Now today it was raining. The other day I disconnected my battery to clean the terminals and it did the same thing at a stoplight after the car was already warmed up. I assumed it was still going through the idle re-learn process after having the battery disconnected. The car as always had this single sure miss at cold/high idle above 40-45 degrees that only happens once but, recently has gotten worse.
There are currently no codes in the computer. There was once stored code in the computer when I first bought the car 2 years ago referring the a OS sensor delay. I cleared the code and currently has not check engine lights or stored codes. Any ideas? Thanks.
