2010 nissan rogue has hissing noise

My friend’s 2010 Nissan Rogue has a hissing noise coming from under the hood after turning off the engine. The car is not overheating. Any ideas what this could be? Thanks.

Hissing noises can usually be attributed to vacuum leaks. That’s what I’d start looking for if I had the car in front of me.

Even when the engine is turned off? Wouldn’t a vacuum leak only make a noise when the engine is on?

With the right variables, there could be a hissing noise even after shutting off the engine. Say, something like a pinhole leak in a vacuum booster could do it. That would also be highly unusual too. I’ve never had to chase a hissing noise on a Rogue before, so I can’t say much beyond that.

How long does this hissing noise last after shutting off the engine?

It turned out to be a flat tire…just to bring everyone up to date.
