            Man it was just that the plug to the button had gotten pulled on or something at some point in time causing the female pin inside the conector to wollow out and make poor contact. I repined the conector and it worked like a champ.

                I was going to say the switch since the actuator worked the trunk which would mean that part of the circuit was good but a connector problem is always possible as well. Thanks for your post.
