Hello,
My brother’s tahoe need a new battery so we are going to replace it ourself. I have changed a coupe of my previous car’s batteries before but they were a 96 toyota and 2004 chevy with the engine running.
My concern is do I have to keep the engine running when changing the batter, specially with newer cars? Does it cause any electrical issues if I do so?I was doing that because I know that newer cars have systems that need voltage all the time or else they will reset and some will require programming.
Even though I didn’t face any problems before, I just want to make sure I don’t screw up my brother’s car
Please advise.
