      I changed out the spark plugs today and when removing the plug from cylinder #1 (closest to the serpentine belt) I noticed that spark plug had a rubber grommet on top of it. Anyone have any clue what this is?

        Is it the rubber insert from the spark plug socket?

          Possibly an internal part of the spark plug boot.
