Is it an auto transmission? If so you might want to change the filter and fluid.
You pretty much covered everything else.T)May 6, 2012 at 11:00 am #439703Your owners manual should cover services needed at suggested mileage. Once you go beyond the mileage it covers (which you probably have) then just basically start over. Was there anything wrong with the parts you replaced? Because I can’t imagine replacing all that as maintenance.
May 7, 2012 at 11:00 am #439704just make sure all your fluids are changed when they are supost to. If its been a long time since your power steering fluid, and bake fluid had a good flush it may be worth it to get out any water or dirt. Also if your car has grease zerks on the steering or ball joints than grease them.
200k really not that big of a deal as it was 15 years ago your car should go well beyond that if you take good care of it.
May 7, 2012 at 11:00 am #439705as suggested follow the recommended service in your owners manualC8-)
May 7, 2012 at 11:00 am #439706The car is an automatic.. and this car has no transmission filter… its odd
but i did use a turkey baister and got most of the old tranns fluid out and i have flushed the power steering and brake fluid..
all the parts that i swapped did need replaced. What about the bearings ? what mileage should i get those checked?
as i have all weather tires i can’t really tell if its the tires or the bearings that makes all the noise .OH and the only thing cosmetic that is bad about the car is that the back fenders were they meet the plastic bumper cover is rusting and bubbling…

Fix that rust before it turns into a big hole.
May 8, 2012 at 11:00 am #439708Sounds like you have the bases covered. There really isn’t anything preventative with bearings, you just need to inspect them at least once a year, pretty much if you follow the procedures in the owners manual as suggested for the maintenance stuff and do an annual or semiannual inspection on the chassis you should be just fine.
May 8, 2012 at 11:00 am #439709My ’93 Geo Prizm (Toyota Corolla) just rolled 200k, and it’s a pizza delivery beater. I just keep the oil fresh, and maintain the cooling system. If the car had power steering, I would service the fluid. I’m about to do a timing belt on it, because the previous owner told me he did it right before I bought it (50k miles ago), and I just want to be sure. Other than that, I just replace stuff that breaks. The only real problems I’ve had has been the clutch, and suspension parts. I’ve done both front bearings, and had a coil spring break (into 3 pieces!) so I got a junkyard strut assembly, because I couldn’t find just the spring. I’m going to do both lower ball joints, ‘cuz there’s some play there. Otherwise, just stay on the maintenance, and you should be golden.
