So I’ve had the p0171 for a couple months and it wasn’t affecting my driveability to my knowledge so I didnt bother fixing it right away. Car ran fine.

This morning leaving work my car was shuddering bad. Then when u pulled away from the stop sign i couldn’t accelerate. I would push the gas and it would chug and then nothing. No rise in rpms or anything. Checked my codes on my phone (bluetooth scanner) and I got the p0171 like usual but now I have p0455.

I left the car running and popped the hood to look for leaks. Didnt see any hoses popped off. Then I heard a pop and the car stalled.

Started it back up and the engine studded went away but was significantly less power. I was able to get it home but not sure what’s going on with it

IMHO, I would chase the P0171(lean code) first. This could be a number of issues, but the root cause is unmetered air entering the combustion cycle. This is usually a vacuum leak or an intake gasket failure. IIRC, scannerdanner has a number of good videos on resolving lean codes. This also could be a dirty or malfunctioning MAF. You could try unplugging the MAF and see if the substituted value makes the car run better, just be aware you will likely get some sort of MAF circuit code.

The P0455 is a large evap leak. You can visually inspect the evap system to look for any obvious stuff. Otherwise a smoke test should point you to the issue.

Not sure if the codes are related, I would fix the lean code first and see if the P0455 comes back.

Good luck, let us know what you find.

To start with fr the P0455 Might suggest you smoke test the system to locate the leak.
          As to the P0171.
A vacuum leak does not always mean a hose became disconnected.
A crack, wear through area can cause the same issue.
          Other possible causes
          A bad intake gasket
Cracked / torn Air intake boot
Leaking vacuum booster on the power brakes.
          Faulty MAF
          Plugged or dirty fuel injectors
Plugged fuel filter or weak fuel pump
Sticking/leaking EGR Valve or leaking EGR
