I have a 2009 honda accord that i bought used from a disclosed chevy dealership (yes i know should’ve went to honda but i got a better deal for the car i wanted cant beat that) and the passenger visor was ripped off by the previous owner and i’m assuming their kids or kid. I called honda to see the price for a replacement piece as its just the plastic that needs to be replaced but they wanted 300 dollars for the part alone. If i were to buy the part myself how hard would it be to replace? I’m thinking i have to pull the interior liner to snake its light connection for the mirror inside the body but i’m not for sure any help or tips is appreciated

You could kind of feel around for the wire but yeah there is a good chance you would have to pull the head liner. It is more of a pain than complicated. Cumbersome, it gets in it’s own way (and yours) and how to get it out of the car without mangling it? Fold down the back seats and pull it out through the trunk maybe?
The visor that is broke, is it just broke or completely missing aside the shaft?

I don’t know about exact compatibilities but you might find something in a junk yard (though good luck finding a 2009 ANYthing at the junker)

300 bucks for a sun visor? That is WAY too steep. If you need a total replacement, check out ebay plus other sites have them for under 50 bucks.
Of course make sure it is passenger side.

To buy it off ebay you would need paypal (I think all ebayers use it exclusively unless it is a “pick up in person” deal) and link it to your checking or savings but that isn’t too horrible to set up.

Theres a connection just under the headliner. When you pull the old visor down you should see the connection and easily be able to disconnect it. You won’t have to take the headliner down. It’s a very simple repair. Just be sure not to cross thread the fasteners that hold it on. It’s not hard to do because it’s so awkward. That said, you may be able to find a cheaper part online. Especially if you got the part # from Honda.
