I have an idle problem. Last week I clean the K&N filter and since then the idle is high. The code has PO507 has appeared. I took the throttel body off and cleaned it, replaced the gasket at the same time. I cleared the the code with a scanner and by disconnecting the battery. Did the relearn procedure and still have the same problem. When I drive it for the most part its fine when I come to a stop and the cvar idles it rev’s to 2500 comes down then 2000 then levels off at 1000 rpm. When I do drive it and I push in the clutch it rev’s high. Any ideas anyone.

when you cleaned everything out maybe you got cleaner in the IAC and passages.also try cleaning your MAF with crc maf cleaner. might
have oil from k&n filter also check the connector on the IAC and the maf. unplug it and plug it back in.C8-) after you check out the above
retry the idle lean again the first post is the one you want. Btw your coolant is full and free of air. I gotta ask. Btw if you are going to clean
components remove them clean and reinstall.

Where is the IAC located on the VTECH engine?

I would clean the MAF sensor with the correct cleaning agent. I would also be looking for vacuum leaks.

Did you force the throttle plate open when you cleaned the throttle body?

I cleaned the thorttle body with throttle body cleaner and the sensor with MAF cleaner. Yes I pushed open the the plate when I cleaned it. I noticed that it really never closed all the way. I take it I wasn’t suppost to?

Also checked every where for vacuum leaks. I sprayed the TB cleaner all around the hoses the intake every where but couldn’t get it to do anything.

I have heard that alot of problems occur from over-oiling K & N filters. You might try reinstalling the stock filter assembly and seeing if that helps.

Is K&N a drop in filter? Or part of Cold Air Intake system?
If it is the drop in OE replacement filter, you have more chance of damaging the MAF. But It really sounds like you have small intake system leak.

Throttle plate is designed to have gap at closed position for most of the cars. This is how the system keeps the engine running at idle.

Actually, that’s what the Idle Air Control Valve is for.

Idle issues are often mixture issues so you might want to check for any air leaks after the MAF sensor as well as for vacuum leaks near the throttle plate since you removed it there may have been some damage to the gasket. Also you might want to check the IAC as suggested if it’s sticking it can cause a problem like that, I don’t recommend cleaning it if you find a problem just replace it if it’s faulty.

I’ve tried all the suggestions and still the same. When I took of the throttle body I replaced the gasket with a new one. I’ve checked every hose, disconnected and reconnected every plug, removed air filter, replaced the air filter, and still nothing. I’m ordering a new MAF hopefully that takes care of it. Any more ideas???? If the new MAF dosent work then it’s off to the blood sucking dealer. HELP!!!!!!

Try tapping on the IACV with a screwdriver while it’s running, see if that changes the idle. If so, replace it.

I’d stay away from filters you have to oil, just put a good OEM style filter in it if it’s just a daily driver.

There will be a solenoid on the side of your throttle body. It will have a connector to it… I’m trying to think of a way to give you a visual picture of it. Lemme poke around.
