      I read that to reset the oil change message that you turn the key to on Not start. Press the the gas to the floor 3 times in 10 seconds, that it would clear the message. Well that didn’t work on my wife’s truck. Tried it several t8mes. Anyone with any ideas world be great. Thanks

        To turning off the Oil Life Light on 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 Dodge Nitro, conform to the following instructions:

        Turn the ignition key to position “ON” without starting the engine, If your Dodge Nitro has push-button start, press the “Start” button twice without touching the brake pedal.
        fully depress accelerator pedal slowly three times within 10 seconds
        Turn the ignition Off
