hey guys and gals,
it’s been awhile since I have been on here.it’s been crazy between college, working in my garage with side projects and with my family. Any how I had a 2007 Mitsubishi eclipse se 2.4 i4 come in the other week with a weird problem. Blower motor works on all speed but a.c only works on speed 1. you’ll hear the compressor kick off on any other speed than speed one. THERE IS A TSB ON THIS PROBLEM!. in the TSB it states that if the problem exists, replace the blower motor resistor. DONT BUY THE AFTERMARKET. I had a comeback because of buying a good brand aftermarket resistor. it gave me no fan speed but 4 but a.c would not function until turned onto 1. to replace the resistor you have to pull the glove box out, pull the support for the glove box out. Once you get that out you will see the resistor after looking behind what looks like a blend door actuator. Instead of fighting it like I did, remove the blend door actuator.use a small 1/4 wrench and a Phillips bit and remove the one of two screws. The second one toward the passenger side door use a stubby Phillips screw driver. Overall its not the worst thing in the world to do, but not fun a lot of patience is needed. cheers guys
