      hey folks
      On my newwly aquired 2007 grand Cherokee the overhead dome light do not come on when any door is opened , the under dash light do however. the light will turn on manually turning the adjustment on the stick does not work either dash light will dim from the stick I checked the
      #12 fuse and it was fine , tested with vom any ideas would be appreciated

        Are you sure the switch on the dome light isn’t a 3 position switch?
        It would have OFF/ ON with door opening/ ON all the time
        Your owner’s manual, on page 116, describes the different functions of the turn signal mounted switch.

        If you’re using the switches correctly, then you will have to get hold of a wiring diagram.
        Autozone has some wiring diagrams online.
        A factory service manual or an Alldata subscription would be the best investment if you plan to do your own repairs.
        Look on Ebay, since that’s often the most affordable FSM option–especially the CD versions.

          Gonna have to fine diagram. Tried all other suggestions. Thought it might something someone might have fixed by now

            From the replies I got , I don’t think everyone read the problem correctly
            The lower courtesy light do work properly all door s turn on the lower light ,but not the upper domes and cargo light , yeas even the liftgate turns the lowers on
            I would like to know where the uppers get their power they work fine manually
            anyone with ideas please respond
