2007 Hyundai Elantra

Hello All my automotive friends,

Hope all is well.. Anyone see much on the electronic power steering on the 2007 Hyundai Elantras?
Have a friend that has one and the power steering locks up on her or gets tighter at times..

I did some research and found lots of complaints on this with all sorts of different years with very few results of being solved.. And no sign of a recall ever

Feels very very like loose, and touchy when driving, Almost like to dangerous kind of touchy…

She has had the whole steering column replaced because of a sensor in it with no results…

Also has issues sometimes goes to take a big turn and has to end up backing up to correct because it takes it to wide..

Any thoughts on what anyone has seen, or experienced with that electronic steering?
