      Hello all,
I’m working on a 2007 Saturn Vue with a 3.5 Honda J-Series engine. There is a very pronounced misfire at idle, with DTC’s p0300, p0301, p0304, p0305, and p0306. The truck has 156,000 miles and had never had a tune up, so I started with changing the plugs with no luck of fixing the issue. Some say adjusting the valves may fix the issue, I want to get more opinions before attempting to adjust them. Thanks.

It could very well be a valve adjustment problem. Do a compression test and a leak down test.

Well I did the valve adjustment, and although it seems to run a lot better, none of the valves were so out of spec that it made me think the valve adjusment was the problem. One thing I notice is that there is a misfire code for almost every cylinder, but during the power balance test I find that every cylinder seems to be contributing except cylinder #4. It seems to be completely dead.
