Hello i am having a issue with my wipers on my 2007 crv 2wd. My wipers will act weird and will not return to their home position the will keep running i have looked at the relays but can only find one for the rear wiper and not one for the front. The only thing i can think of is the actual switch on the steering colum can anyone give me a idea of what to do to determine the cause of this and how to go about fixing kinda annoying having my wipers stop in all over different parts of the windshield lol. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It probably doesn’t have normal relay for windshield wipers. Relay is probably incorporated with unit that also has circuit for intermittent wipers. Problem can only be with wiper motor or that relay unit. Or wiring but that’s unlikely (unless you see bite marks on it).

I can’t tell you what wire to measure. Or be curtain how that circuit is made course I don’t have correct wiring diagram.
Wiper motors normally have 12V from ignition. One wire for each speed (if you ground it it will run). Ground wire. And wire which tells the place of wipers. Its normally connections for that sense wire that wear out. I’ve repaired many wiper motor just by pending the sense circuit connections (and clean+lubricate).

Forget about the relay or switch. The ‘park’ function is normally inside the wiper motor itself. If the wipers won’t go to park, it’s likely going to be an issue with the wiper motor. Unfortunately that means replacing the motor to correct the problem. If you had a wiring diagram for the circuit you could verify the operation of the park circuit and also test for it. More information in this article on how to go about that testing.

One last thing. Given that it’s a Honda you might also check the mechanical linkage. Sometimes the plastic joints in the mechanism can break and cause erratic wiper behavior. To check for that is easy. Just see if you can move the wiper arms manually. There should be very little play. If you have a lot of play, then remove the wipers and the plastic cowl at the bottom of the windshield and inspect the wiper components for loose parts or breakage.

Keep us posted on your progress.
