      Hello,

I am new to this forum and found it through youtube. I am hoping this is helpful. On my rear passenger side when I go over bumps I am hearing a squeaking sound. I also tried just pushing straight down on my car frame on top of the rear passenger wheel and it even squeaks then. Any suggestions? Also, my wheel vibrates quite a bit. Would this have something to do with that? I’d appreciate all help! I would take it to Firestone but I’ve been hearing stories about mechanics fixing something and then you leave with your vehicle having an all new issue and I know that isn’t right!

      Thanks.

Without hearing the sound and having the car in front of us it’s hard to diagnose for you. There are a few parts that move on a Focus rear suspension but the most common problem is the lower rear control arm bushings.

You might try viewing Eric’s videos on the home page here on finding noises and vibrations. There is a lot of good info in them.

You may not believe it but you are lucky. Most noises cars make on the road refuse to be reproduced when you bounce them. Keep bouncing and feeling around under there until you locate the source. Careful, don’t pinch a finger. If you can find the source you then know what to replace.
