In April, Minnesota had a snow storm that dumped 8 inches of heavy, wet snow. My windshield wipers got overwhelmed from the weight. Now when I use the wipers, they literally smack into the A pillar, and smack down into the park position when I turn the wipers on for rain or snow. It’s very annoying to drive during a storm as the wipers are super loud.
I checked the wiper blades. They are fine. Is there any technique for re-parking the wipers so they go into proper placement?

What you have to do is make sure they are off. Each wiper arm should have a plastic cover at the end of the arm where it connects to the car unclip that with a small flat head and under that there should be a nut. Undo the nut and pull the arm up and line it up where it should be sitting and reinstall the nut 🙂 and push the cover back on. Make sure the nut is tight or it will slip.
