2007-09 Hyundai Santa Fe rear wheel bearings

The Hyundai Santa Fe from 2007-09 are prone to rear wheel bearing noise and failure. This is due to a tiny gap in the “sealed” bearing which, over time, allows water dirt and grit to enter the bearing and cause premature wear. There is an updated hub & bearing assembly available from Hyundai to correct the problem, which includes a steel dust shield which gets installed to help shield the new bearing. Left and Right are the same part number, and Hyundai recommends replacing both sides at the same time.
