Thanks for taking the time to read my problem. I found the PCV valve but I don’t know how to get it off. There is no space to even reach a box wrench. I’m not a mechanic so I prolly shouldn’t take off too many parts. Any ideas. Attached is a picture. I’m pointing at the PCV valve. Thanks for any ideas.

Is this a 4 or 6 cyl engine?

Looks like a 6, this may help:

6 cylinder. Thanks for replying. I might try to take all of that apart. The only issue is I moved to WA state and I don’t know anyone to help put it back together if I can’t. I did buy a Chilton that will be here in s few days. That is an awesome write up from Club Frontier.

Just take pictures or a video as you go and keep the screws with the parts they go to on the floor in order you took them off. Then you can put it all back together in the reverse order.

It always seems difficult until you do it. 🙂

The PCV is not serviceable. If your not having an issue leave it be. 🙂

The other cars I had the PCV was scheduled to be changed every 30,000 miles. In my 2010 4Runner and 2006 Frontier it’s not even mentioned. So you must be right. I always believed in checking it but then again I’m not having any issues so it must be okay. I just wanted to change it to prevent any issues before they happen. I’m prolly just paranoid over making my truck last longer and higher gas mileage. Thanks a lot.
