Hi,
I have a 2006 Mazda 2, 190k km. initially there was a chirping cricket like sound when it is in drive and car not moving. Shifting from park to reverse, there was a clunk and it shook the car with a shudder. I could see the engine moving quite a bit when shifting from park to reverse. Reverse to drive is fine. Shifting between gears is smooth and has no issue. My mechanic used a jack to support the gearbox and the cricket like sound was gone. So I though it was the engine mount.
Last week, I changed the engine mounts. But the issues still persists. Shudder felt when shifting from park to reverse. Chirping sound still persist when in drive and not moving. Atf was changed in January this year while it was 180k km. what else could be wrong?
I should also add that when the engine mounts were replaced, I replaced the v belt, idler, tensioner bearings and water pump.
