2006 ford f150 crew cab XLT
5.4L with 217,000 miles
new alternator, serpentine belt(X2), new water pump, new belt tensioner, new idler pulleys(X3)I have a problem with my Ford… Engine squeals just like it has a bad tensioner or belt or idler pulley. Engine makes same noise with serpentine belt off the truck and running. It does it in any gear and in park, hot or cold(i live in Mississippi so cold is a relative term). I have watched and listened to tons of youtube videos and nothing seems to even come close to noise i have. It sounds just like belt squeal. Used a stethascope and can only narrow it down to middle of valve cover area. I am going to try replacing the cam followers this weekend to see if that will help. Any ideas to check while I’m in there or am I barking up the wrong tree? added video per request
