I was referred by techs that it is a common problem in the 2005/2006 Chrysler 300 (touring in my case)
Transmission put itself in ‘limp mode’ not allowing run more than 40 MPH until the car is switch off and restartedt
Common message codes are P0700 (Transaxle control system fault) and P2767 (input speed sensor 2 circuit no signal)
additionally, there are tow different transmission types to work with, but only the German one has the sensor inside the transmission unit
Being in that situation, I have to replace the TCM & the sensors also.
The engine light lights on and off periodically
And the problem is more notorious in the Summer or warm climates
Does anyone know about this issue and how to solve it , please?
      Thank you

It is very common for the solenoid connector plate to fail. It contains the input and output speed sensors. Easy to change, just need a 30 torx bit and a 7mm socket. Also make sure to change out the harness to case connector with the updated one.

Thank you for the information. I have now a more clear idea of the situation. However, may you confirm the following items to buy from the dealer: Electrical Control Unit (the complete part),
            plug connection &
are the input & output sensors separate ones that I need to buy also ?
Thank you again for your info and your time

The sensors are included with the new plate, they are an integrated part of the assembly. OEM parts are best but there are aftermarket parts out there too. I have no experience with them but have not heard anything bad. Let us know how it goes. Good luck.
