I replaced calipers and brake hoses on both sides I do not get any lights on the dash (ABS or brake light) Could the abs controller be bad ?
      Anyone have this problem before?

You could still have a caliper hanging up.

I open the bleeder and fluid squirts out and the caliper will free right up. I am going to pull the fuses to disable the ABS and see if that will work.
I just don’t get any light to tell me if a sensor is bad. I don’t want to buy a controller till I know that’s it.

Sounds like theres something causeing posative presure on your brake system but i would think it would seise all brakes not just one

Just pulled The fuses and took the car for a drive the brakes still lock up the left front brake locked so I broke the bleeder screw loose fluid came out I drove it home so It can’t be the control module because I disconnected it. Could it be a valve in the motor assembly sticking and causing pressure to stay on the front brake or could it be the master cylinder or could a bad speed sensor on that wheel bearing cause it to apply the brakes but not have the ABS brake light come on.

I just found this on another site and i have no idea if it will work but its a shot anyways.

My 07 equinox right front break caliber kept locking up. Replaced the guide pins, replaced the abs speed sensor and rebuilt the caliper with no results. The brake continued to lock up and the service stabilitrak / traction control kept coming on. I don’t know what possessed me to do this, but I put my foot under the brake pedal and pulled up. It released the caliper and knock on wood I haven’t had any issues since.

I had to replace a brake line when ours was doing something similar. It started smoking when my wife was driving and never locked up completely. Possible to have a bad “new” brake line ?

I put the fuses back in, drove it till it locked up again and broke the line coming out of the master cylinder and the brake released. So I am
going to buy a master cylinder. See what happens, will let you know.

sounds to me like the new caliper is bad, left side
