Hello,
2006 Acura TSX, steering pump is making a loud noise, i google around and most explained replace the black O ring at the feeder host pipe with new Red one, noise gone a way for couple days, and it came back.
I checked the tensioner, belt, they all know fine.
Question – Do i need to replace the other O ring as well or entire power steering pump ?thanks

I just went through a similar issue when rebuilding a power steering pump for my Odyssey. That video will be out in a few weeks. That said, I ended up replacing the pump to get rid of the noise.
Before I did that I tried everything and could not figure out where the air was coming in. One thing you might try is to replace the ‘o’ ring on the back of the pump itself. I’d recommend a Honda part however. Also, you might replace the clamp on the inlet hose. Those spring clamps can get old and allow air to get in as well.

My friend Acura parts manager explained to me that the foaming in the fluid causes the pump to fail, i went back and check the level of the fluid, it was a bit low.
I had the car running and try to look around, i found out the level of the fluid dropped big time, and bubble came up, i went to top up the fluid while engine is running, the noise went away.
I was going to change the O ring in the back host which is a bigger one, realized i didn’t need it after all.I went to grab couple bottles of the fluid and started to remove most of the fluid from the resevoir and top up with new fluid.
so far, it resolved the noise issue.will update next week.

After a week, the oil gets low again, no leaks on the pipe, i noticed the bottom of the car were quite oily
Anyone have any idea where this leak can be ? Rack and Pinion ?How can i repair this ?

There was a recall for a leak with a PS hose. Has that service been performed?
The defective part number is: 53713-SDC-A02
I’m glad you found the source of your problem.
I think the recall is for a different hose than number 19. I believe the hose that was recalled doesn’t have a number in the above diagram. It’s located on the lower right side of the figure and is connected to the top of the PS pump. The numbers 28, 10, 22, and 16 appear next to the hose.

To my knowledge that recall was for the TL, not the TSX.
It’s likely you have a leak in the PS rack. It’s not uncommon. It’s a little tricky to change but not outside the realm of DIY work. You just need to be sure to get it aligned after you replace it. This isn’t the same vehicle but the process is the same.

here are couple pictures my son took of the PS return pipe very oily, just that part of it.I cleaned it up and taped it up with duct tapes for now and give it a week or two to see if any more leaks, then i know which pipe to replace

Using duct tape couldn’t hold the pressure pipe, i was going to use a special tape, but figure out i should change the pipe altogether which i did.
It was quite fun to get into the end where just below the resevior, very tight, patience pays off, just need to get it done by the temperature turn cold, doing it at 5 C is a bit cool.
Replaced the pipe, two new clamps, all good now, trying to take some pictures or video but was in a rush before it turns dark here
