My windows’ power doesn’t work for 20 seconds to a minute after starting the car late mornings or the entire afternoons. Then they work fine. Here are some facts about the problem:
1). It happens only during the Summers (2014, 2015, and this Summer), never -not even once- during Winters, Springs, or Falls. So, it’s obvious to me that it’s related to or caused by heat,
2). It happens during days only, and once I drive for awhile and stop for short period of times it doesn’t happen again for that day,
3). Windows’ power has never not worked after a minute of waiting.
So, please let me know if you have any idea as to what’s causing this annoying problem. I live in a hot southern city and waiting for the windows to come down has become a burden to me.
Thank you, in advance, for your cooperation and help.
      Nadi.

Well i have to say this is an issue iv never heard of before but after some research this is what i have found so far.

I appears that the grease that ford uses on the regulator and hardware gets hard in hot weather over time.

So i recommend removing the door panels and cleaning any and all greased components in the doors and re-greasing them.

Other than that all i can think of that might cause this is a weak battery or loose connections.

Good luck and i hope this helps.

Thank you ‘Disabled Automotive’ for your reply and for the research you’ve done in particular, that’s really very nice of you. I’m leaning towards the second possibility because it isn’t likely that a stiff grease will soften in few seconds, or will change texture at all for that matter. I believe it’s more likely a weak connection (not the battery though, it’s new) where it builds up enough juice to make it run after few seconds. But what’s puzzling to me is what this got to do with temperature! Thank you, once again, and have a nice day.

With the issue of the hard grease i personally think its the vibration of the vehicle that causes it to break loose.

But i also would start with possible connection issue and if that doesn’t help the you might look into the grease.

The temperature thing is pretty weird. Have you tried rubbing/pinching the nest of wires in between the body and driver’s side door while you actuate a window? The wires should be covered by some sort of rubber boot if not torn.

Thank you ‘Disabled Automotive’, if nobody here has experience or knowledge regarding this problem then I’ll have no choice but to take off the door panel and do a thorough check out on all electric connections and cleaning all windows’ power parts, it’s a hectic job but necessary.
